VivoCity and Alexandra Retail Centre to Host The Disney Princess Academy and Pageant 2012
14 May 2012, Singapore – This school holiday, in conjunction with the Great Singapore Sale, VivoCity and Alexandra Retail Centre (ARC) will bring a touch of Disney magic to all shoppers through the highly popular Disney Princess Academy and Pageant. A series of engaging activities complimenting a full retail experience await those who have always dreamt of stepping into the enchanted shoes of Disney’s princesses.
From 28 May to 3 June, girls aged 4 to 12 years old will get to experience exactly that by signing up for the Disney Princess Academy at VivoCity, Singapore’s largest retail and lifestyle destination. They will have a chance to go through a Disney Princess makeover and be transformed into the graceful Snow White, the glamorous Cinderella, or any of their beloved Disney princesses. The makeover will then be followed by a photo-shoot, and the little “princesses” will get to take home their very own portraits for keepsake.
On top of that, participants will also learn the virtues of a modern princess by attending the Arts & Crafts, Jewellery-making and Cupcake Decorations workshops at ARC. These workshops will run for a period of 9 days from 4 to 12 June. Upon completion of the entire programme – the makeover, the photo-shoot and the 3 workshops worth a total of $160 – each “princess” will receive a Disney Graduation Certificate.
In addition, the Disney Princess Academy will be selecting 40 “princesses” to take part in the Disney Princess Pageant at ARC on 16 June at 1pm. The top three “princesses” from each of the two age categories (4 to 7 and 8 to 12 years old) will get to win great prizes:
First Prize : $2,000 worth of prizes
Second Prize : $1,600 worth of prizes
Third Prize : $1,300 worth of prizes
To participate in the Disney Princess Academy, shoppers will only need to spend a minimum of $30 at VivoCity or $20 at ARC in a single receipt between 25 May and 3 June, and pay a $20 registration fee at the Disney Princess Academy Registration Counter. Registration is open from 28 May to 3 June between 11am and 8pm at VivoCity Central Court, Level 1.
