28 October 2011, Singapore – It will be a trumpeting celebration for Singapore’s largest retail and lifestyle destination, VivoCity, as it commemorates its fifth anniversary by playing host to 25 life-sized elephant sculptures, in addition to the stellar line-up of activities this holiday season. As the Grand Patron of the first-ever Elephant Parade in Singapore, the herd of beautifully hand-painted elephant sculptures designed by international and local celebrities and artists will be on display at VivoCity’s Sky Park and The Plaza from 11 November to 6 January 2012. Amongst them include elephants designed by Rupert Grint, fellow actor in Harry Potter movie and celebrity chef, Bobby Chin.

Positioned to make art accessible to all visitors of the mall, VivoCity is glad to work with Elephant Parade to showcase another art form to its shoppers and at the same time help to raise awareness for the need to secure habitats for Asian elephants. Each elephant sculpture will be auctioned off following the showcase and part of all the proceeds will be donated to The Asian Elephant Foundation and the conservation fund of the Wildlife Reserves Singapore.
