22 April 2009, Singapore - Be mesmerised by riveting theatrical and dance performances in between shopping sprees at Singapore's largest retail and lifestyle destination, VivoCity. VivoCity will be the place for enjoying the arts from 15 May to 14 June 2009. In support of the Singapore Arts Festival organised by the National Arts Council, VivoCity will showcase an innovative range of acts from around the world.
Explore the end of the world at VivoCity, as foreseen by Western science and science fiction, through interpretive dance with RED by the Stalker Theatre Company from Australia. Catch the stellar cast of multi-disciplinary performance artists skilfully blend a hybrid of physical theatre techniques and more in a series of roving performances by acclaimed artists such as The DCP group from Belgium and Sticky Planet Network from Australia. Singapore Street Festival 2009 will also be part of the performances at VivoCity, bringing visitors a series of power-packed programmes and activities such as Singapore Yo-yo Championship and Asia Global Belly Dance Competition.

With these thrilling performances in support of the Singapore Arts Festival, VivoCity continues to be a proud supporter of the arts. VivoCity is currently home to a series of extraordinary artworks by six international artists; such as Flower Tree - a six-metre spherical bouquet of colourful flowers by Choi Jeong Hwa from Korea, and the Snowman by Inges IdAe from Germany. These artworks were unveiled during the Singapore Biennale 2006 and are designed to surprise, excite and delight visitors, and complement the multi-dimensional nature of VivoCity.
