For Singapore Fashion Week 2007, 10 finalists have been shortlisted for the finals. These finalists will present 12 outfits each based on their respective ideas and inspirations. Slated as an important event category, SFDC will be held on Saturday, 13 October 2007, 8 pm, at VivoCity's Central Court.

Fashion Shares - A T-Shirt Exhibition to Raise HIV / Aids Awareness
12 - 28 October 2007, South Avenue, Level 1

Fashion Shares is a tee-shirt exhibition to raise the awareness of and to dispel the stigma and discrimination against HIV/AIDS. This is a joint effort between the Textile and Fashion Federation (TaFf) and the Health Promotion Board (HPB). Fashion Shares aims to break down the mental barrier of fallacies and confusion by initiating greater public involvement and getting people to talk about HIV/AIDS and sex among themselves, and in doing so, evoke a sense of awareness and understanding towards HIV/AIDS. Over 50 celebrities, personalities and designers were invited to design tee-shirts for the Fashion Shares exhibition. They include the likes of international fashion designer Atsuro Tayama, renowned fashion writer Colin McDowell, as well as Mediacorp artistes such as Adrian Pang and Ivy Lee, local designers etc. These pieces of wearable art will be unveiled at the launch party on 13 October 2007 at VivoCity.

Singapore-born, now Paris-based international fashion designer Andrew Gn has also lent his hand in this project by designing a tee-shirt illustrating the importance of hope in fighting against HIV/AIDS. His tee-shirts will retail at $39 exclusively at TANGS Orchard, TANGS VivoCity and the Fashion Shares exhibition at VivoCity Atrium from 12 October 2007 to 21 October 2007.
