Service Excellence Awards
In celebration of VivoCity's First Birthday, the inaugural VivoCity Service Excellence Awards were presented, honouring staff and outlets dedicated to world class service.
The VivoCity Service Excellence Awards are part of a broader programme - the VivoCity Service Excellence Reward & Recognition Programme designed in conjunction with Ernst and Young Associates Pte Ltd. This programme aims to motivate and challenge all the tenants, customer service staff and outsourced agencies to put greater emphasis and effort into their delivery of excellent customer service. Winners were selected from a Mystery Shopper audit held in August and September 2007.

Join the First Birthday Celebrations
VivoCity : The Spirit of Life! will play twice a day from 1 to 9 December 2007 (except 4 December) at 7.30pm and 9pm. The show features a combination of inspirational music, stunning visuals and remarkable human acrobatics. Shoppers at VivoCity will receive one pair of tickets with every $50 purchase between 16 November and 9 December 2007. A total of 20,000 tickets will be given away to shoppers.

VivoCity’s first year has been marked with great successes. Here are some of the highlights.
MIPIM Asia Awards
VivoCity was one of three finalists in the Shopping Centres Category at the recent MIPIM (Marche Internationale de Professional d’Im Mobilier) Asia Awards held in Hong Kong on 28 November 2007. The inaugural MIPIM Asia Awards honour outstanding real estate projects developed in Asia Pacific in such sectors as offices, tourism, business centres, residential, shopping centres and eco-friendly projects. It is judged by an international jury drawn from the Asian property industry and featured some of the most highly-rated personalities of the industry.
The finalists were selected from more than a hundred entries from around Asia Pacific.
VivoCity Wins Silver at the MAXI Awards
VivoCity's passion for excellence and innovation was also recognised at the recent 2007 MAXI Awards in New Orleans. Its launch advertising campaign, "VivoCity " Where Entertainment Comes Alive", was acknowledged as a Silver Award winner. VivoCity was the only shopping destination in South East Asia to receive this accolade from the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) - the global trade association of the shopping centre industry, which consists of 70,000 members across 80 countries.
VivoCity in Forbes Traveler's list of the top 10 Amazing Asian Mega-malls
Just six months into its opening, VivoCity was named by Forbes Traveler as one of the Top 10 Asian mega-malls. Aaron Dalton of Forbes described its roof-top Sky Park as one of the unique features that "makes the mall into a family-friendly destination."
VivoCity’s Sky Park includes an outdoor as well as extensive water features which span the area of four Olympic size swimming pools.

7 October 2006 - Soft Opening of VivoCity
VivoCity threw open its doors for the first time. More than 4.2 million visitors came to VivoCity in the first month.
19 October 2006 - Singapore Biennale Artworks Unveiled at VivoCity
VivoCity is the only location where 13 artworks of the Singapore Biennale 2006 are displayed permanently.
1 December 2006 - Grand Opening of VivoCity
VivoCity was officially opened by Mr S Dhanabalan, Chairman of Temasek Holdings. The night was marked by a performance by local celebrity Stefanie Sun and American music ensemble String Theory, and ended in a spectacular 6 minutes fireworks show.
30 December 2006 - Swedish Ship Gotheberg Docks at VivoCity
The full-scale replica of an 18th century Swedish merchant vessel berthed at The Promenade of VivoCity and was open for public viewing.
31 December 2006 - MediaCorp New Year Countdown Party at VivoCity
VivoCity hosted the MediaCorp New Year Countdown Party 2007 at VivoCity for the first time. This year, VivoCity will again be the venue for MediaCorp's Countdown Party on 31 December 2007.
29 March 2007 - Viva La Fashion at VivoCity
VivoCity celebrated Singapore Fashion Fest with three days of pure fashion entertainment from some of the most prestigious fashion labels at VivoCity. These included new-to-market concept enclave Spain 2 Dream as well as renowned names such as ESPRIT, Marks & Spencer, Lee Hwa Jewellery, Utopia, Lonsdale and Joop.

Organised around the theme "Where the World Comes to Play", events like an Italian Fair and the Creatively Thai Showcase were combined with great promotions for the best shopping experience at VivoCity

A showcase of the latest creations from some of Thailand's upcoming fashion designers, the Creatively Thai Showcase was opened by the Thai Ambassador to Singapore.

Singapore Symphony Orchestra played to a packed house on 11 August 2007, at the VivoCity Sky Park Amphitheatre.
31 August 2007 - Heroes Visit VivoCity
More than 6000 fans thronged VivoCity to meet the cast of Heroes, the hit TV series from NBC. VivoCity was the only meet-the-fans stop for the Heroes cast in Singapore.
22 September 2007 - VivoCity Makes its Mark in the Record Books
VivoCity created the longest lantern procession in Singapore to celebrate the Mid Autumn Festival.
12 - 15 October 2007 - VivoCity Presents Singapore Fashion Week
VivoCity hosted nine fashion shows over three days, including the Singapore Fashion Designers' Contest, Asian Young Fashion Designers' Contest as well as a unique fashion show, presenting clothes entirely made out of recycled newspapers.
31 October 2007 - Stomp! Halloween Party
Online portal Stomp! held their Halloween Party at VivoCity for the first time.
22 November - 8 December 2007 - Inventioneering Architecture
This exhibition features an interactive 40-metre-long platform of an imaginative cross-section of the Swiss Alps, using design as a platform for innovation and experimentation. The exhibits were designed and built by professors and students of 3 schools of architecture in Switzerland.
30 November 2007 - VivoCity Celebrates its First Birthday
VivoCity celebrates its First Birthday with a musical extravaganza - "VivoCity : Spirit of Life!" as well as a spectacular fireworks display by the choreographer of the recent Singapore Fireworks Celebration 2007, the renowned Spanish fireworks choreographer Pirotecnia Igual, to mark a successful year for VivoCity.
